Frequently Asked Questions
At what age can my child start?
Children can start Les Petits Bellots from the age of six months.
Are your teachers DBS checked?
We employ two DBS checked teachers per session; all of our staff are trained to deliver Les Petits Bellots curriculum.
Why are the groups so small?
We prefer to offer a bespoke two-hour session where children are engaged with and attended to in a safe, nurturing environment; this is only possible when groups are small.
What curriculum do the classes follow?
We teach the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and ensure all activities are set to enable children to develop at their own individual pace.
Do you only speak in French?
Our staff are bilingual, so while the majority of the session will be in French, we will speak English as and when the need arises. The safety and happiness of your child is paramount.

What should I pack for my child?
Please provide water and a healthy snack, spare clothes, nappies, wipes and slippers (children are asked to remove shoes inside all our venues).
Why do the venues have different prices?
Different venues have different rates, therefore our nursery fees are venue-dependent.
Can I stay to help settle my child?
You are welcome to stay while settling your child. We aim to be flexible and work in partnership with parents, who we invite to stay for the first session, then in decreasing amounts for ensuing sessions.
Can I use my phone or take photos during the sessions?
No, we politely request that parents refrain from using their phone or taking photos.
Do I have to book for the whole term?
We request that parents register their children for the term, which we feel helps significantly with the settling-in period. In a bilingual setting, continuity is essential.
